Trek 620 and Bianchi Premio, which one?
Hi,
I am looking into a new road bike, and am hoping to build from the frame outwards. But there is a Bianchi Premio on the market for around $350 in supposedly good condition. My other option is a Trek 620 for $150 that needs a tune up, tires/tubes, and a good wipedown.
What would you suggest? Customizing the Trek 620 or going with the Premio? Thanks

Do you know any more info on the bikes?
I would personally go with the Trek 620. I'm a bike mechanic so I fix up my own bikes. Replacing the cables and housing would cost me $15. Bar tape another $15. New tires and tubes, about $30. A good clean and regreasing of the bearings, free. $350 seems a bit for the Bianchi. It depends on what year though.
Also I'm sure you can get the price dropped on the Trek if it does need new tires and a good tune up.

Both bikes are from 3rd party sellers that don't have too much info. on the bikes. They seem to be in good condition though, I think the Trek is mid 1980's and the Premio is early 90's. I won't be riding this bike more than 30-40 miles a day, so it is not important that i get the PERFECT bike for me. Im more curious if you think a Trek 620 for $150 + roughly $75 to fix up well is better than buying a Premio for $350. Plus, its a lot more fun doin' a fix up!
