Which Cannondale??
I'm in btw a 2009 Cannondale Six 6 or a 2010 CADD9 4? Of course the 2010 is more expensive but what do you think of the frames good?? Pros and cons..Need help!!.Thanx

all depends on if you want carbon or alu.
both are good bikes. |
i just bought a caad9 5 in blue, wow amazing bike. there both real good i think its personal preference, maybe the pros will give there advice i'am a newbie.

I prefer carbon but if that's your choice then the CAAD9 4. Rival components and BB30 is enough for me. GL

What are you using it for? Crit racing/training - buy the 9-4, anything else, go for the six.
|
Why are you comparing a bike with Tiagra to another with Rival? That doesn't really make much sense. Also only the rear triangle on the Six is carbon, rest is alu cept for the fork. Geometries will be both aggressive with the Six and CAAD9.

caad9-4, get it. Last caad9 made in the US

He's not comparing the bike, components etc. If you notice he's concern about the different frames, probably goint to build it up.

I love fools that say the CAAD9 is good only for crits. Sure I rode mine in a crit last night, but last weekend I rode it in a century on saturday followed by a 3 hour group ride Sunday. This weekend I will race it again but the following week I will ride it 200+ miles of gravel/ limestone while pulling a trailer full of beer, food and a tent (For this trip I am cheating and running 32 tires (yes they fit fine)).
Again, If the ride is too stiff, let 5 PSI out. problem solved. http://www.kelnet.com/jo/bob.jpg |

Not that there's anything wrong with the Six, but there's nothing special about it either. It's Cannondale's entry level carbon frame, asian made (not that there's anything wrong with that). If you're considering the Six, why not test ride some comparable bikes from other manufacturers (Giant, Felt, Fuji, etc.). It's believed that this will be the last US made CAAD9. The CAAD series used to be at the top of Cannondale's lineup, now that everyone's gone carbon-crazy it's a very light frame at an affordable price. The most important thing is what feels better to you though. Ride them both, ride some other bikes, and see which one you like best. |
