the only reason i didn't IMMEDIATELY return it is because i knew it was the best one they had so i couldn't exchange it for a better onel

so i decided to try installing it properly - using the bolts - and then i FAILED.

I once had a Road Morph. In fact, I still have it but I prefer CO2 these days. I installed it on the top tube with the reusable zip ties. The brake cable ran through it... maybe even rubbed the mount (:eek:). I used common sense and decided it wasn't an issue. And it wasn't.

So now an inanimate object needs to be classy as a required attribute? You better get looking for a pump that lists "classy" as one of it's features.

You might have been better served asking the LBS for help on how to install it on your bike rather than pitch a fit. I guess that would be too rational and logical for you.

If you failed where so many haven't, the rational thing to do is to try and figure out where you went wrong, rather than branding an entire company as inept manufacturers of "filth" because you would rather erroneously assign blame elsewhere rather than sack up, admit that you need help, and contact the appropriate entity to get said help. How do you make it through life throwing a tantrum rather than actually trying to solve the problem?

Anyway so while you sleep think about this question - what options does Neurosport have regarding a pump ?

i could get a small pump to go in the camelbak. i could get that pump that is not aerodynamic and mounts on the side. any other options ?

i am a little paranoid that if i put the pump in the backpack it will somehow be not comfortable ?

and what if i crash ? i would rather have it on the frame than on my body when crashing. i would rather surround my body with softer objects.

Why are you getting all worked up over a pump anyway? i thought you would rather get your bike shop to fix your flats than learn to fix one yourself

you could make your own mount too!!! mount it on the top of the top tube or down tube with some simple velcro

You never solved the original problem of why you couldn't figure out how to install the road morph. Getting another pump to break and label filth will only empty your wallet, not solve the problem.
You think I am throwing a tantrum, you are the one swearing at me with a frustrated tone. I am not angry at all; this has been great saturday evening entertainment actually. Made packing go a lot easier. Hard to throw a tantrum when you are amused, not upset.

i know perfectly well what my mistake was. it was not returning the product immediately as soon as i saw that a perfect fit without modifications would be impossible.

next time when i am having a problem i will take it to the store immediately and either have them show me how its done or return it for a refund.

also i should have tried installing it the first day, not wait 2 weeks. i procrastinated like i always do then by the time i actually ran into the problem i was nervous because i didn't know if they would take it back after the time has passed. if i wasn't feeling stressed i probably wouldn't have broken it.

I keep my bike frame as uncluttered as possible. I have two water bottle cages and that's about it. The drop bars do have the Garmin computer holder. I don't even have a saddle bag. So my topeak road morph and spare tubes all go in my lumbar bag that's clipped around my waist. That lumbar bag carries more stuff than a seat bag. Its portable, unlike a seat bag.

I have asked Columbia to design a lumbar bag, not just for trail runners and hikers, but one specifically for bike riders. No response yet.

Patentcad has a beautiful bike. IMHO, attaching a frame pump onto his bike would take away the aero qualities from that Cervelo.
