Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

waterford 2200 or serotta colorado legend crl?

Hey all, I have the fortune of being able to choose between buying one of two marvelous steel road frames. One is a waterford 2200, lugged reynolds 853 db, and the other is a serotta colorado legend crl, lugged colorado concept light tubing db. Both are of about the same vintage (early-mid 90's), same condition, and were both at the top of their respective makers' hiearchies back in the day. The question is...which one should I get??? Please help me out bfers. This is quite obviously the hardest decision I think I'll ever have to make.

They're really very similar bikes. I had a 1989 Paramount OS built by Waterford, which is pretty much the same as the Waterford 2200.

It was a great bike.

Can you ride both of them? My bet is that the Colorado might be a bit more "racey" in the ride and handling, which could be good or bad depending on what you're looking for?

Waterford is a great company with great customer service, so I would also factor that in.
