Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

= Show Us Your CAAD =

I am a few days away from finishing my bike. It's going to be a CAAD9 with Sram Red.

I know there is a Show Us Your Cannondale threat, but I'm so excited I thought I'd start a Caad specific thread

Wow. I don't have a CAAD, but I sure would like to see yours. I'm toying with the idea of building a CAAD 9 with Rival and Force when frames become available.

yessir. i pretty much did a custom build, i sort of considered it as "designing" it from scratch. any good designer does their research before going at the project

and yes, yours is now saved.

The frame is a 52cm, and I've got really short legs and a longer torso so that's just the way it works out. It's the longest TT length I could find that I could clear the stand over height. Even with my shoes on I can only fit maybe one finger between me and the TT

Cellphone pic from bike-to-work week:

Will probably need a shorter stem before flipping it or removing spacers... still keeping up with the group rides and not racing, so no problems right now...

Bikes: Some bikes. Hell, they're all the same, ain't they?

Sold it last week; I shoulda held out to get one size smaller. Or maybe I was merely seduced by newer, fancier stuff (which still hasn't shipped)...

I'll add to the white caad9's!

waiting on installing a new alphaQ GS20 fork, red hudz, has an smp stratos saddle now and token red skewers lol going for the "red/white/blue" theme since this was the last caad9 year stamped made in America.
