Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Wilier Mortirolo sizing - help!

I've been offered a 2007 Wilier Mortirolo at a good price. Supposedly size Medium. Thinking of buying it for my daughter who is 5ft 7.5ins tall, and currently rides, and seems happy wiith, a medium Cinelli Experience.

I'm told the Mortirolo for sale has a 54cm top tube and a head tube length of 160mm, which (the latter) seems somewhat long, or is the frame for sale actually a Large?

I can't find an old Mortirolo geometry chart, and the new one on the Wilier site suggests that the frame has changed a bit (lower front end?)

Too big? Do-able with stem and seat adjustment? Any opinions on whether it would fit her okay? Thanks in advance.

I think the 1st question is, 54 cms virtual/effective length or the tt is 54 cms c2c? if it is 54c2c the effective length should be around 55 to 55.5 Hope this helps you better.
