Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

what type of inner tube does my tire need?>

my tire size is 700x25c

I see many out there that say 700x19-26c etc

any of these fine? basically means this tube will fit tire sizes 19 trough 26c?

also I went to my LBS and told them I needed one and gave me a 700x18-23c

put it on but it seemed a little small

sorry for the noob question

I ride @ night on a road full of debri so I I constantly get flats

also how many mm should the presta valve be? my lbs recommended a 48mm, dude told me it was the best, something about the air no escaping

any tube where 25 is within the range recommended on the box. longer valves for deeper rims. 48 should be fine.

700x19 tubes are fine. They make flat proof tubes but they're really heavy, if you don't care then I guess they're good....
Also, they make tire liners.....

^Agreed. If the stem doesn't project enough through the rim, it can be hard to get the chuck of the pump sealed on it properly. I like to have around 20mm of stem projecting. For me, that means around 40mm total length.

How about 700x21-23 with 25mm tire? A friend of mine said that it's fine but I want to make sure. I guess the inner tube would be slightly thinner when inflated and could get slighty more flats.
