Caad10

I can't believe I'd be the first to post this but a search isn't showing any results. Anyway, hope it's not old news here:

Nice find. I'd heard about it, but not seen anything. Is that running Ultegra or Dura Ace?

There should be a law against fredding up a CAAD like that. Looks like they finally did away with "Handmade in the USA."

thirdgenbird 06-24-10 10:26 PM

i guess i would rather have the american made CAAD9 for novelty if anything...

Not after you see the spec sheet on the 10.

Man that looks sweet. Looks like the bike had a 105/ Ultegra setup. I like it a lot.

fauxto nick 06-24-10 10:29 PM

Looks like it has a braze on FD, great now I'm going to have to buy a new FD when I get mine, :/

OOOOOHHHHH NO, WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO, IT'S MADE IN THAT PLACE WHERE THEY MANUFACTURE MOST OF THE OTHER HIGH QUALITY BIKES, JEEZ WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO?! Spare us.

That was my plan.

what's wrong with made in taiwan?
If anything, they finally come clean with where it's really made.

The tubing looks drastically different from the 8 and 9.

top tube isn't curving, seat tube isn't tapering, chainstays aren't oversized, seatstays look like toothpicks

Did I hear right? The frameset is now 200g lighter compared to the CAAD9?

No offense but the American CAAD's were pretty mass produced man, not hard to come by, some would say a dime a dozen... Quality welds are quality welds, doesn't matter what nationality is making them. I trust Cannondale did their research into the production facility that will be building the CAAD10's.

Harun 06-24-10 11:53 PM

so does this mean they'll be cheaper? :innocent:

ptle 06-25-10 12:00 AM

Unfortunately they don't come with the cool "Made in USA" decal. I'm not saying that makes the bike better or worse. I'm just saying.

The color scheme is kind of bland. I wish it were flashier.

it's a no nonsense racing frame.

"MADE IN USA" decal in super-sized fonts is nonsense and so are flashy colours.

That said, I'd like to see the red version, because red makes things go faster.

runnercyclist 06-25-10 02:48 AM

this vs. Super Six?

That is laughable.

Cannondale did it like the government...bid it out and give it to the lowest bidder.

geez...it's good to know that when you leave and come back not much changes.

Al versus carbon.

They are also dropping the Six frame and just taking the groupset down on the Super Six to make up the difference. Remember there's two Super Six frames.

Menel 06-25-10 04:36 AM

Nationality is usually far down on my list of qualitifactions. But the combo of being made in the usa and the fact that it was a highly acclaimed high quality bike almost has me wanting to go pick up a CAAD9-1 or something =/

BB30 =/ means no pure Shimano drivetrain, blah. I know spec sheet wise BB30 certainly sounds impressive, realistically I've not been convinced.

recon455 06-25-10 04:58 AM

Interesting that they use a braze on FD, but still use a round tube design. If you're going to use a braze on, go crazy on the seat tube!

Huh ?? They were built at their factory in Bedford, PA
