Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Crankarms are also not lined up with the seat tube and pedals are not at 3 and 9. And goodness me, I can see valve stems. Horrendous.

not to mention they're priced the same as competitive cyclist, which isn't exactly the cheapest place to buy from. I guess I'm missing the "greatest deal on earth" part.

My question is why would I drop big bucks on what is in that picture when one can drop 2k for a comparable entire bike from bikesdirect: https://www.bikesdirect.com/products/...spirit7900.htm

I'm actually planning on maybe getting this bike spring '11 so Im curious to hear what others say. At 15.75lbs its the same price as your $2000.00 wheels.

It sounded shilish to me, and it looks like they have another one of them right next to it. But I guess it could very easily be his friends orbea, like he said.
