Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I don't really see it. You started a funny thread and some of the fun was poked back at you. So?

Sometimes the humor works on a forum and sometimes it doesn't.

Great riding though when you get close to Meadville you start getting away from the flat lands of Ohio. A lot of small towns here as well with miles and miles of low traffic country roads to cruise around on. Two nice lakes as well to take a cruise around as well. Conneaut lake and Pymatuming lake. If any one does come up this way for a ride I do suggest avoiding Sundays because there are a lot of Amish here and they are all out in there buggies on Sundays and there is so much horse poo on the roads that it gets a bit disgusting.

3.7r to 9r is bigger factor to me then the components. Rival and Ultegra are regarded as equals by many but I really do prefer the feel of 6700 Ultegra. If it were me yes, the upgrade would be worth it if you can afford the extra cash. You will never say I wish I bought less bike

So Kevin..... You have been here for almost 2 years yet you have only 42 posts but yet you feel the need to poke fun at forum members that actually add some content here. Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmm.

5.Today was the Wednesday Night Spin Shop Ride. We did a route out west to North Ridgeville into Sheffield and back. 45.13 miles at just a hair under 22mph avg for the entire ride.

Now if you think your superior because you feel the need to share every little detail about your life on a bicycle thats fine I hope it works out for you, but if you feel the need to take a whiz on me because i poked fun at a forum member who loves the attention then you can ....

I took that picture at the zoo and thought it was funny. Maybe next time I will write in detail about my five mile bike ride to the zoo including every left turn right turn bumb and bottle cap along the way. That should get me from 42 post to almost 10,000 in five years
The original post was about as funny as a broken brake cable, but this makes up for it.

I don't know, broken brake cables can be very funny if they are not on your own bike....

You apparently have the time to go back and look at and quote my posting history. I am honored that you care enough to do so. I have never had a stalker before. Thanks for being the first.

So was the point of this thread to find a way to casually boast about your amazing average speed? That being the case I think there are plenty of others like it.

If it helps your self esteem to think of me as your stalker go for it. But please do not blame me for making you look silly because that is all on you.

Not sure why I am even doing this but my post that was quoted with mileage and speed was taken from our regional thread titled " tell us about today's ride" ......
Why this guy KevinB felt the need to go and take a bunch of my posts out of context I have no idea especially from a local thread among friends. I have always tried to add content to BF. Some helpful and some just general BS.

I'm surprised this is still up.

I should try and salvage it.

Yesterday I didn't ride and felt really bad about it.

Close. I believe it really stands before "In Before Thread Locked."

To the OP, don't take it personally, but sometimes in here such efforts at humor are thrown back at you. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't.
