Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

BB compatibility - BB7420 vs Rival?

I have a '10 Specialized Tricross Triple - currently runs the stock Shimano 2300 groupset, which includes a BB-7420 bottom bracket (i believe its a cartridge type).

Next spring, I'm planning on overhauling to a complete Rival groupset, which includes a GXP BB.

Is this a straight bolt on affair or am I going to have compatibility issues?

IIRC - that would be the press in BB standard - what something like BB86(?) - SRAM/Truvativ make a GXP compatible press in BB for that standard.
