Thinking of a Garmin, reception question
I'm about to order the 500, but I'm somewhat worried that it won't pick up a GPS signal in some of the surrounding towns. I've tried one of those cheap GPS cycling apps for my iPhone and it lost the signal part way through the ride. I'm hoping the Garmin has a more powerful receiver or something?
Anybody have any trouble with their Garmin losing a signal? I'd especially like to hear from somebody more local?

I've found the 500 to have much better reception than the 305. Long stretches under canopies of trees, along tall buildings, etc have never lead to any loss of signal. I can even turn it on in the middle of my apartment and have it pick up the satellites, a feat my 305 could never duplicate.
