Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Great bike.

Now just go rip up some hill on Ft. Carroline or maybe the road to Starke off of 21 south of middleburg.

Ft Caroline is all chewed up from construction! Although it's just about my backyard.

I'm sticking to the Baldwin Trail or A1A/PVB down in Ponte Vedra. Though Hecksher is a nice ride as well.

Love the new saddle compared to the other one. Just curious, after seeing the "Less than $700 road bike" thread, what made you get the S2 over the S1? I love the value of the S1, is the S2 that much more bad ass?

I dare you to go in and say, "Do you think the saddle could be too high? Some guys on the internet told me..."

Well the S2 ($1200) frame is over twice the cost of the S1 ($3100). It's probably lighter, stiffer, more aero, and has a better ride. It's also not aluminum.

Edit. Oh yeah I got the numbers backwards. The S2 costs $3100 while the S1 costs $1200 just for the frameset.

Ptle said it perfectly. It's quite simply all of those things.

I also wanted a bike where I wouldn't have been left "wanting" for anything. Just buying another aluminum frame would have really not even been worth it to me. The S1 is a fabulous bike, and if you're looking for aluminum, I'm sure it's one of the best.

Yes. I paid $4006 (incl tax) for complete bike with Ultegra, to give you an idea.
