Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

crashed, front wheel is toast

Im keeping this short because I may or may not have fractured my hand/wrist and am typing with one hand. I had a bad wreck today and my front wheel basically taco'd. I was riding a mavic aksium. What do you guys think I should replace the wheel with? Let's say my max budget is $150. Should I just pick up another aksium? Just need it as a training wheel.

For a training wheel you really cannot beat a 32-spoke wheel on something like a DT Swiss RR465 rim with an Ultegra or Shimano 105 hub and 14/15G spokes. The weight will also be similar to the Aksiums.
