Does anyone know the warranty on Mavic shoes?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Does anyone know the warranty on Mavic shoes?

I bought a pair of Mavic Pro Road shoes almost four months ago and one of the cleat anchors has come loose. The LBS I bought them from is 900 miles away. Does anyone know how long the warranty is on Mavic shoes? Do you know how they handle repairs?

The LBS is closed for the night. Thanks, in advance, for any information you can provide.

It was unusually difficult to find out, so, for those who are curious . . . the warranty on Mavic shoes is 2 years. Mavic issues a Return Authorization through the dealer, then returns the repaired shoes to the dealer.

So you have to return the shoes to the dealer??? Is there a way to ship them directly to Mavic and get a return by mail? Just curious

My dealer is 900 miles away. I'm shipping mine directly to Mavic (with the dealer's RA information) and the shoes will be shipped back to the dealer by Mavic for the dealer to ship back to me. Makes no sense, except that they seem determined to keep the dealer in the transaction.

I reckon any policy that tries to keep LBSs in business can't be entirely wrong-headed. Stupid in this case? Yeah. But wrong-headed? No.
