Looking for inexpensive wheelset
Im looking for an inexpensive wheelset. Currently I have a stock Mavic CPX22 front wheel and a cheap (unbranded) rear. My rear wheel was stolen, so I temporarily replaced it with a cheapie, which has to be trued now. It cost me $70 for new, so instead of trying it I might just as well replace it.
So I'm looking at the Vuelta Race Lite or a Mavic Aksium -type of price range. Also I really like Fulcrum racing 7, looks awesome.
Any suggestions would be welcome!

But, how much do you weigh? How strong are you? 16/20 spoke wheels simply aren't going to last for bigger, stronger riders.

this looks like an opportunity to get something decent. a custom built wheel w/ alchemy hubs, kinlin rims and cx ray spokes will cost under $700 and weigh under 1300grams. and in all likelihood be stronger and lighter than pretty much any other wheel in a similar price range. just a thought.

Well I was just looking at some of the Neuvation reviews for M28X Aero, and they seemed to be handling the weight very well.

Well I'm thinking to keep the CXP22 that I have on the front, and just replace the rear. I usually ride on the road, but hit the occasional pot hole. The Mavic that I have now still holds well though.
