Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Coming back from illness, tips?

I have had a brutal sinus infection for the past five or six days and cannot breath well at all and therefore have not been on the bike. My question is other than being healthy (lots of fluids etc.) does anyone have any tips or suggestions for my getting back on the bike as soon as possible.

This has been the longest I have not been on my bike since the day I started riding so this is rather unpleasant.

Nah, not really. You'll heal more quickly if you get plenty of rest. Keep hydrated and don't eat crap food. Take it easy when you do feel well enough to ride again. Good luck.
