How do you pump your tires...? I see like a tiny nub sticking out of your rims, doesn't look possible to fit a pump head over?

Mavic supplies the wheels with a 60 mm valve extender included. One end (the pump end) can be used to unscrew the end nut, then you turn it around and screw the other end over the valve.

Just curious, why not get tubes with a long enough valve?

Several reasons:
1. Those were the tubes that came with the wheel - with 42 mm valves stems.
2. I still have a stock of 42s for my other wheelset with 23 mm rims.
3. I like the aesthetics of having the smooth rim profile - undisturbed by a poking valve stem. But that's just me.

However I did already reserve a couple of 60 mm-stemmed tubes from a bike supply store.

I am shopping 2012 close out CAAD10 3 for $1800. I have sat on a 54cm CAD10 5 and it seems a bit stretched out but I ride a Specialized Roubiax. The dealer can get a 52 or a 54.
I'm 5'9" with a 32 3/4 inseam and long arms. I could probably fit on each bike. On the 54 the seat is way up there to accomodate my inseam and I think the drop on a 52 would be more extreme. Maybe a 54 with a 10mm shorter stem would be best?
Anyone close to 5'9" with long legs? I'd like some feedback on your frame size. I wish I could sit on the 52.

I'm 172 cm (5'8") with an inseam of 80 cm (31.5"). The CAAD10 I ride is a size 52 (53.5 cm top tube). The size 54 has a 54.5 cm top tube. The Cannondale C2/C3 stem on the CAAD 10 is 100 mm long.

That would put you right into the size 52

How does the caad10 compare to let's say a synapse? In terms of weight, components, ride.

CAAD10 has a more aggressive "racing" geometry while the synapse is more of a comfort bike. Components and price are probably the same with whichever group you go, and weight I assume can't be much difference unless you get the carbon synapse.

Just finished putting on groupo. Only need some wheels now. Also changed out handlebars. Need to adjust them.

The thing that worries me is the drop on a 52. With a 33 inch inseam that seat is getting pretty high on a 52 and it will have a shorter headtube. I'm flexible but at 47 years not a spring chicken. I want to use this bike for the local tuesday night races and rebuild my Roubaix for the longer rides I like to do.

The seat tube length between the 52 & 54 is less than an inch (2cm)...give me a break on he seat tube "exposure". Same diff for the head tube, use an extra spacer if necessary. Seems like it's better to not be too stretched.
