Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

This angle shows the red on the saddle so it stands out well.

Whoever installed Jaytron's crank is an idiot. I mean, how would he ever pedal the bike correctly?

I don't think Upilu would like the non-team colors...

I personally like the off-set of the chain at the top of the big ring, must be a new thing to prevent chain drop or some such. (that is a joke, not a jab, don't hit me please)

Ordered my CAAD10 4 yesterday but found a bike shop in Brooklyn that has a Supersix for like $200 more but w/ 105s. Did I make a mistake with the CAAD? Seems to be mixed reviews on other forums whether or not the non-HM SS is worth the extra scratch.

I love my CAAD and I'm sure you will too. As far as the carbon in the SS, there was a thread here recently debating low vs hi mod and general consensus is It's not worth the extra scratch.

I think the HM SS is not worth the extra money vs standard SS. But Caad vs SS all things being equal, same price, same components, then scales tilt to the SS. My opinion though.

Well if all else is equal sure I agree. But the CAAD10 Rival is $900 cheaper than the Supersix w/ Rival. The Supersix w/ 105s is about $500 more.

Then there ya go. I just picked up a 2012 SS Apex frameset for $800 and they have a couple more to sell. The 2012 complete 105 bike at my LBS is $1600, Apex is $1300, and Rival Caad is $1500 I would check around I think the SS was way overproduced.

Beautiful scenery and nice bike! Did you make it to work on time? I personally would have gotten "lost" and been a little late.
