SpeshulEd... Its SRAM Super Cork bartape. I find them quite comfortable riding gloveless, especially in comparison to the stock white bartape that the bike came with.

Will have to check it out, I'm looking for something to match the blue on my EVO.

If its the same blue on the CAAD 10 as on the EVO, then it should match perfectly. The difference in hue is barely noticeable, especially when you are going fast :thumb:

If you don't like it I'm sure there will no shortage of people who would be happy to give it a new home. :)

Ed, just be careful trying to match colors. A color that is just barely off can be more noticeable at times.

Try Cannondale Synapse bar tape, it's really comfy and had a great feel too. From memory, I think the blue is a perfect match.

Thanks Bill... I've been following the creaking BB discussion quite closely on this forum. Unfortunately I don't have the proper tools to pull the crank and disassemble the bearings. This latest episode has prompted me to acquire those tools though. ...snip

Check for a Bicycle Co-op in your area for tools. There is a reply here with some pictures of a bearing press that someone made for a few dollars and you can get these from Craftsman or other tools that aren't bicycle specific and much cheaper. All I needed for my S500 SRAM crankset removal was an Allen Key wrench for the release. Pulling the bearings is like the installation press, other than bicycle specific tools will do the job for you, too. Just pulling the BB and cleaning and greasing everything properly the reinstalling it correctly will help a lot (not pulling the bearings unless they are creaking and cracking badly,) if the bearings seem to be making too much noise then do the pull. clean and Loctite drill. It isn't hard and it can be dome in a short time period.

Bar tape, the C'Dale Synapse tape, Specialized's Roubaix and SRAM's cork are all similar if not identical. They have blues available, I use it in my old R500 that our daughter now rides.

Haha, I'm currently looking at the SupaCaz stuff, it's pricey but comes with the nice bar end plugs. I think the blue is off tho. So maybe just the all black with the hint of blue.

Bottom Bracket madness (just to tie up the loose ends I created way back here (http://www.bikeforums.net/road-cycli...l#post15798914) and follow-up here http://www.bikeforums.net/road-cycli...l#post16399264):

Long story short, I had BB snapping/popping/creaking noises after about 1500 miles on the bike. Four attempts at tearing down/cleaning/reinstalling at the shop could not solve it as it would return every 100 miles or so after service.

In the end, Cannondale swapped out the frame and crank under warranty. They believe the shell in the frame may have been out of round but I never received any official word. I got a 2012 team frame and crankset in exchange. It's only been on the trainer for a handfull of hours, but no noise yet. The proof will be in the pudding when I hit the roads in earnest. It's funny, when I bought my bike in July 2012, I had the option and went with the 2013 frame. Now, looking back, I quite like the cleaner top tube look of the 2012.

I've been lurking here a bit.

Here's my CAAD10:

You've hidden that frame from our view?! Shame on you! Joking. Very nice CAAD10. There are some things I'd tweak definitely, but it is your bike - not mine. You don't get to see Rotor cranks on CAADs often either (IMO).

That looks like it could smash.

That neighborhood looks real nice too. I bet riding on that road feels like butter.

Does anyone recognize this frame? It's a Caad 9 from what I can tell and probably a custom team color. Any thoughts where to find one like this, in my size (58)?

http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=371629

Team Sarcasm 03-29-14 07:43 PM

EBay would be your best bet, maybe try pinkbike. Specific custom colors in your size would be a stretch to find.

Why not buy a used frame set and paint it? It's not like you'll void any warranties going used.
