For the last few weeks I didn't ride because I was sick with a nasty cold and found myself scouring the internet for deals and came up with a few I couldn't resist plus I've been riding my 2013 Black Inc as-is for the last year so I felt the need for some changes. I found the Fizik Cyrano 00 carbon bar for $229, the matching stem for $59, a Fizik Arione cx saddle for $99 and some LG Fit Sensor Bib shorts for $79. I've been feeling a bit stretched out on my bike with the stock 110mm Cannondale C1 stem so I ordered a 100mm and after riding 50mi yesterday I feel made the right choice, the new handlebar is the 175g Cyrano 00 (bull) and switching from aluminum to carbon made a huge improvement in soaking up road noise, I ride over two wood plank bridges on my usual route and never look forward to crossing them but I had an instant smile yesterday. I also replaced my Fizik Arione saddle with another Arione saddle but this time got the cx version which is a bit lighter and all black because I'm phasing out the gold accents that came on the bike. Yesterday was probably one of my best rides with the combination of new gear and the weather was perfect here in Central Florida with a slight breeze and 73 degrees (sorry to youze guyz up in Boston) I did 50 miles and it was perfect. I'm now waiting for the Fizik Cyrano 00 seatpost to be released in March to complete the cockpit.

Good eye! Yeah, it got dented during shipping to the previous owner. Just cosmetic, though; I'm not worried about it

I have an opportunity to pick up a lightly used CAAD10 size 56 for a good price. So now I'll ask the million dollar (over asked) question: will it fit?
I'm 5' 10 1/2" with a cycling inseam of 33 inches. To answer my own question, I used to own a CAAD9 (same geo) and ran it with a 120mm stem and always felt a little cramped (stem slammed with compact drops). But it seems like most people my size prefer 54 and competitive fit calculator suggests a 54.7-55.1 top tube and 110 mm stem.
Logic tells me 56 with 100mm stem should get me in the same fit at 54 with 120mm stem I previously had and based on fit calculator a 56 with 100 mm stem should be in the sweet spot same as 55 top tube with 110mm stem right?
So I'll do what all modern cyclists do and defer to the people of the internet...

It seems to me like it should fit; your math is solid. You can check on their website what other bits of the geometry get changed and if those matter to you, though, since a stem won't fix those.

Yeah I think you're right. Even though I felt a little cramped on my CAAD9, I think now that I've been riding for a while and more used to being in drops etc I think I could handle it. The bike I got after the CAAD9 is a 57cm top tube based on non scientific fit by LBS and while it works with a 90mm stem, it feels like driving an old Cadillac. I've also found my sweet spot for rides is 20-40 miles so I'm not so concerned with a relaxed fit

sorry about the delay, here are a couple of pics i have from the first day. the one with low saddle is when i first got it and the other is when i got back from my first ride. so far put about 50km on it getting used to riding. fallen off 20+ times getting used to cleats lol going to need new bar tape soon (what colour you reckon would suit this frame best?)
i've cleaned up as much as i can, took me about 4 hours to really get the chain reasonably gunk free with toothbrush and degreaser. anyway, cleaned up cassette/chain last night as well as i could (don't have the chain break/freewheel removal tool or would have just soaked it in diesel), used some car wax on the frame and it's looking pretty awesome! will have to take some 'after' pics of it later to put up.
any ideas on any future modifications/improvements to keep in mind? i'm guessing at some point try replace the derailleur back to dura-ace when/if can get one at a really good price but still happy with the 105 for now. also not too happy with the left shifter but it works.
no display of what gear it's in like my mountain bike, i find myself looking down a bit which is probably dangerous is this normal on road bikes? i'm sure i'll get used to it anyway.
below's the specs i've been provided from previous owner, though my first road bike so can't really tell what condition it's all in. all i can say is it feels so nice to ride very stable at high speeds (well, for me high speed is 50-60kph at the moment) and climbs so effortlessly. also feels very light but then again, my reference point is my mountain bike. don't have a scale for this, caad cult members how heavy do you reckon this would be?
2001 Cannondale 3000si
Dura ace 9 speed shifters
Dura ace brakes
Dura ace cranks 53/39
Dura ace cassette 12-27
Dura ace front derailleur
105 rear derailleur
Slice Carbon fork
Easton bars
Dura ace rear hub laced to a Mavic open pro rim
Ultegra Front wheel with Mavic CXP33 rim
Tyres Continental GP4000 and Maxis Refuse
Ultegra PD-6610 pedals
CAAD5 Frame

Bike shop here in Orlando has a 54cm 2013 Black Inc Frame for sale with the Fork, C1 Seatpost, C1Stem, C1 Handlebar, and I believe it still had the Ultegra Brakes on it too? They're asking $1,000 which isn't bad for what you get. This was a bike they had on the floor for sale but ended up selling the Ultega Wheels and Ultegra Di2 off of it so it has been assembled but never ridden, I saw it Thursday when I went to get some new tires. Just thought I'd throw it up on here in case anyone was interested? If so PM me and I'll get you their info.

Just finished building up an xs800 headshok from 2000. Its in gravel/road setup at the moment.
Its hella fun to ride! The lockout on the shock really makes the bike for me.
CX1 crank
Wolftooth 40t
Sram X9 + 11-36 cassette
Superstar Pave 28 wheelset (23mm outer)
panaracer gravelking 28mm

First time posting. Bit of a classic. Picked up the frame for $100:
Caad4 R600 Frame
SRAM Force Levers
SRAM Rival Rear Derailleur
Forte Front Derailleur
Shimano RS10 Wheels
Ultegra 6650 Crankset (or whatever crankset isn't being used to test prototype power-meters at work)
