Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

duh, though it is going to be pretty bare stock for a little while until I can get 1) bar tape 2) new seat tube 3) 40cm handle bars 4) wheelset 5) saddle

though not necessarily in that order

Anyone else have problems with the rear brake cable on the CAAD10 rubbing on the inside of their left leg? The cable itself mounts slightly to the left of the top tube and the cable was placed on the outside of the seat stay by the bike store, I have since rerouted it between the seat stays to see if the solves the problem.

Hello everyone and thanks for all the great info here on the forums. Its been an invaluable aid in my search for my first road bike. I've been riding fixed gear for the past 3 years, so this is all new to me. But after a ton of test rides and hours at shops, I am finally a proud owner of a CAAD10 4. Its such a quick and responsive bike! I'm looking forward to putting it to some good use in spring tris and longer rides.

Again, thanks everyone for the great info. Cheers to you all!

Interesting.
Where'd you get the weight for the Spec?
Damn. That's over a pound more.
But then again, the Spec is a like $3-400. cheaper as well.

the fork is 600g. I weighed mine while building it up and another guy on this frame had roughly the same weight.

$750 frameset
the specialized is only $350, but id pay the extra $400 for 500g difference.....Cant wait to ride a Cannondale again.

Damn.
I think my CDale Ultra is supposedly 567g.
My Edge 1.0 is coming in at about 275g.

For the price, I don't think anybody can do better for that Spec.
Supposedly a really nice frame and for only $350? I think that's a great value.
Not that I'd give up my CAAD (or any CAAD) for it. But it's nice.

Yea, mine comes up to 17.75 with 1400g wheels and rival groupo.
Would be nice to build a CAAD10 to weigh 15lb or less....

I want in!

Bought last year, used, but rides great. Shes a 56cm but might want to trade up for 58cm.
