Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Those hubs are beautiful. I got the black ones to match the bike but the silver are just so much better looking. I just couldn't decide if silver would look good or not on my black caad.

Just got these in last week to go with my '86 Schwinn Peloton:

Nothin' pimps harder than white-on-white with gold accents.

Edit: And naturally, it has rained the last two weekends.

Cabin fever be damned! I just got done with a ride. As is often the case, this means that everything on my 'needful things,' list has been pushed off to the 'eh, it'd be nice to have,' list.

OMGosh! It's to the point that I'm like Pookey now!

Got the Oakleys coming in this week, so you know what that means, right? The creme de' la creme!
(The question is, Gorgeous Black? Or the "Tick-Off The Fashion-Nazis" Red?)

And THAT'S IT! After that, I'm done! I won't buy anything else!

That's "it". I'm done. No more buying anything.
I have everything my heart's desired since last summer.
That's all I can buy, I can't buy no mo'! I'm ready for the Spring.

Took me some hunting down and I had to go higher than I expected, but "F" it.
I didn't only want these things, I NEEDED these things and I just HAD TO have them.
There are just some times when I don't feel like paying the least amount possible.

I had to get them before they were sold out. Had to go with the 2010's.
There wasn't a pair of 2011's that I didn't like. I loved the Reds just for bling factor.
The White/Black combo was REALLY unique looking and I loved them too.
The Whites were gorgeous and made the most sense (reflect heat more),
but cleaning them would've been a female dog.

Thanks to my neighbor Upstate for the advice.

I just had to have Vernice Black. Had to, had to, had to. Period. So, FTW!

I must of sunk a good 4 Grand into my hobby over the past 8 months. But WTH. I deserve it.

Got them.

Sidful Things...

And just in time to as a little reward to myself after polishing off a great 2010 and starting 2011 with a bang!
Next on my hit list in a month or two...a Santa Cruz Butcher or Titus El Guapo! Hee Hee! It never ends! It never ends!
Lucky for me, I already am geared up for MTBing, so all I'll need is a better bike than my current rig (a Gary Fisher).

Although my dream is a Turner 5 Spot...

I'll probably need new shoes towards the end of the summer, and these are still at the top of the list. If you happen to pick up a pair, post about 'em!
