I have been using this: https://www.nashbar.com/bikes/Product...2_10000_200352
The cord around the seat post is small and doesn't rub. It fits all of my stuff (tools, Co2, tire levers, and tube). It is a bit wider than some others mentioned, but has worked well for me so far.

I just reinspected my current saddle bag....I am afraid if I pitch the velcro strap the bag will be way too loose and will sway.
I am leaning towards the Lezyne Micro Caddy (medium size) as a decent but affordable solution. I really like the scicon bag (from what I can tell online) but they cost twice as much.
Arrgh, I almost wonder if there is a conspiracy agreement between the makers of budget saddle bags and the shorts/bibs manufacturers...

OK, I ended up getting the Lezyne Micro Caddy, medium size. It is a smidge smaller than the bag it replaced but solves the problem.
The scicon bags look cooler but I could not justify paying twice the price of the lezyne.

I'm using it now on my SS (SE Racing OEM Saddle).
Fits fine there. I really like it's design.
I'm using a Lezyne Micro Caddy M on my Fizik Aliante. Perfect. I love it.

Would it be possible to post a pic of it on your saddle? Looking for one for my wife, and she finds mine [Lezyne Micro Caddy - Small] too small.

+1 The Pedros bag velcro end tucks into the crevice at the bag and has no sharp velcro edges exposed. I've ridden for years with it and have no wear marks on any of my bibs. You do need to be mindful when you wrap the velcro strap to make sure everything is tucked in properly. The shape of the bag is both narrower and deeper than most others. Holds a tube, two CO2 carts, two levers, loose allens and a twenty dollar tire boot.

I can try but I am digital photography-challenged. I can assure you the MEDIUM size (bought off eBay for 18 bucks, shipped) holds a standard road tube (in its box), my C02 unit with 1 cartridge, a patch kit, and tire levers. I wish it was a bit larger, to be honest, but the tradeoff in size is worth it to get rid of the seatpost connection.

- I.D.
- 2 levers
- patch kit
- 2 CO2 cartridges
- GI CO2 dispenser
- 1 tube
- 1 multi-tool

I had a problem with my Topeak unclipping, but it turned out that it was butted up against the seatpost and not able to push "in" far enough to really set the clip. I moved the clip mount a little further back toward the rear of the saddle and that solved the problem.
I'm a fan of the Topeak bags...and they do make a few models that don't use a seatpost strap, just a saddle rail clip.

Either way, clip on is better than straps IMO whether or not you have a seatpost strap as well. This bag stays in one place and there is no bouncing around whatsoever.

Happy with the axiom I bought at the lbs today. Long, slim, and took a small wallet, tube, large-ish multi, and my old gloves no problem. Didn't notice it under my selle italia slr.
