Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Roadracer mk2 installed

https://www.crudproducts.com/

Installed it yesterday. Installation is pretty straight forward, took it for a quick spin - some rubbing issues with ZIPP 404's. Adjusted a bit today, will report after todays ride.

That's a pretty bike.

The fenders are nice too.

Thanks. Tape because of paint is peeling off. I am resolving this issue with Trek now. Will see how it goes.

How difficult is it to remove the front fender? One of the things I dislike about my current raceblade fenders is removing the front so I can put the bike in the car.

Very nice! I just bought a pair myself. How long and hard was it to install?

Paint issues with Trek? Who knew?

Good luck with that. Nice fenders. I'm thinking of getting a set myself for the Trek.

I have the same fenders (old and new versions). Takes all of five minutes to install, and about 10 seconds to pop either off.

Wow, that's a super clean bike! Do you clean it after every ride or is it relatively new?
With the fenders, do they provide different length tail pieces? The reason I ask is because the picture on their website shows a much longer rear tail piece for the MK2:

Bike is just over a year old. Ridden in the winter as well I clean after every dirty ride, yes

They do provide a different length pieces. The longest one was wobbling too much.

Thanks. To my luck there was a Trek rep at the store that I got my bike from just next day after I've submitted my pictures. So, will see.

Thanks for posting this! I have been fretting the problem of fendering my wife's Six Carbon for seattle rain season. I love these fenders.

Your post gave me the motivation to install my fenders on my Klein Q Elite. Does those rectangular felt strips rub on your wheels or rims? Mine do slightly and not sure if they are really supposed to. I guess they are but wanted to check.

Any by the way, took me over an hour to install. But I know what I am doing now so it should be faster next time.
