Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

trainer vs. rollers

ok so this year i'm REALLY going to try to keep in shape during the winter....i mean it. i have a trainer but i really can't stand it. my computer measures from the front wheel so i get no info from that on the trainer. i have a POV dvd that helps a bit but not much. i'm hoping with the bonus of seeing the "miles" i'm riding plus the thrill of almost falling off will keep me going. anyone have better success with rollers over trainers?

Rollers will help you sharpen your form, and will help to improve your bike handling skills. If you want to see performance gains, then go with a trainer.

However, since you're just looking to stay in shape, rollers might not be such a bad idea.
