Funny - I used umd's post to figure out how to properly search (thank you!), and then the post that answered my questions was authored by......

umd

tried. no worky.

I followed umd's direction to a tee (searched road forums and child forums only) and put "Seven", "seven" and seven. These would be useful if one would like to know about Seven Bicycles.

I got these results:

That's funny. If you don't mind me asking, what was your question? Or rather, what was the post that answered your question?

If you ever loose your job, that is if you have a job, then consider play by play on NFL football. Your circles and lines are much prettier than John Maddens.

kimconyc 11-08-10 07:42 PM

bump.

kimconyc 11-08-10 07:45 PM

Why is this not a sticky already?

I want to revoke my nomination for the 41 HOF thread and nominate this thread instead because it's actually helpful--or should be.

BengeBoy 11-08-10 07:48 PM

I keep doing it just like this and all I find is posts where the word "search" was used in red type.

Am I doing something wrong?

Great minds think...

;)

Nachoman 11-14-10 09:16 PM

Thinking I might be doing something wrong, I went back to this thread. But nope. The search isn't working properly.
The search "single content type" doesn't seem to be working.

umd 11-14-10 09:30 PM

What are you searching for?

JonnyV 11-14-10 09:33 PM

I think this has been covered before...did you use the search before starting this?

And if I may add, just make sure you get it right the first time, because you're limited to one search every 30 seconds.

or just do this in google.

How in the hell did you do that? Not the google search, I know all about that. But the trippy drug-like automatic demonstration. (I don't do drugs by the way, but I imagine it like that. he he)

I dunno, I found lots of results. I typed your phrase in the search box (no quotes), search entire posts, all open forums, sort results by last posting date in descending order, and show results as posts.

I got many good threads and posts talking about inline gear indicators. What are you getting?

Gorden Gekko 11-15-10 01:23 PM

I will now ignore this thread and start my own (Trainer or rollers ?? )thread as soon as possible. Thanks anyway
