I dunno, I found lots of results. I typed your phrase in the search box (no quotes), search entire posts, all open forums, sort results by last posting date in descending order, and show results as posts.

I got many good threads and posts talking about inline gear indicators. What are you getting?

I don't know what's going on. Working perfect now. I'm not crazy. Really.

Thank you!!! I particularly appreciate the "results as posts;" never noticed that!!!

Thanks umd, for the first time I have successfully completed a search. Your tip is now in my personal BF HOF. Great tip.

Nice. Say, wasn't the OP 'umd' banned or something?

Something along those lines.

Uh huh. I know how to use Google.

The OP's point was that, if used properly, the native BF search function is useful. I bumped the thread because it's Spring and this place gets new users that might benefit from the information in the original post.

Uh huh, that post wasn't directed @ you. ;)

It's been good. However, I had a small detour to Arizona. The riding was fine there too.

google has a relatively nice search going now... haven't seen it here (didn't look :))

once at google type:

site:bikeforums.net <search topic here>

this seems to produce awesome results and there is no search limit. It only searches BF, and it can be refined to only search the 41 as follows:

site:http://www.bikeforums.net/forumdispl...1-Road-Cycling

though the results can be interesting....

merlinextraligh 12-21-11 03:59 PM

google specific to the site does work well

HMF 12-21-11 04:45 PM

what's with all the *** threads coming back to life?

Velo Gator 12-21-11 04:50 PM

This thread is useful for winter.

surgeonstone 12-21-11 04:51 PM

Maybe a nostalgia for threads with content.

tagaproject6 12-21-11 04:58 PM

Does this have anything to do with the Strava thread being moved/deleted???
