Aero Fork Chip, Clearcoat?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Aero Fork Chip, Clearcoat?

wanted to see if anyone has come across the desire to do some cosmetic repair to their CF aero fork. I found a little chip on the side. It's not a structural issue but I like to see if there are any clearcoats available to repair it. Thanks.

A dab of clear finger nail polish? Or might it damage/weaken the CF?

I would go with nail polish certainly. Every cyclist should have a bottle.

If you want to be more elegant you could always go with some clear epoxy but you will work more and it will look worse then the nail polish and the nail polish will protect just fine.

You can buy clear touch-up paint from auto shops, which, in my opinion, si a bit better than nail polish

I use clearcoat by dupont from Autozone. It works better then nail polish as I have seen clear nail polish yellow after a week in the sun.
