7900 vs 6700 vs 5700 bb

hi hi,

Just curious, what is the differences between 7900 BB, vs 6700 BB vs 5700 BB ?

somehow, they all look the same to me.

also add 6600 BB...

The label and the price apparently. Does the DA model have a ceramic bearing option?

Bikes: Lots. Chapter2, Van Dessel, Giant, Trek, etc Dealers for BMC, Chapter2

They are all basically the same. Minor differences in finish. i am unaware of any bearing differences.

According to Competitive Cyclist, the only way one can get ceramic bearings in Shimano BBs is by retrofitting. CC offers that service with DA BBs, retrofitting them with either hybrid or full ceramic options.

so the label decide the price.


I will get a 5700 bb to replace my aging 6600 bb.
