Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Voler Bib short sizing? S or M?

I'm looking to pick up a pair of Voler bibs, I've heard good things and they're pretty inexpensive.

I'm 5' 9.5", 140lbs on the dot, and have a 29 inch waist. The Voler sizing chart says my height and weight are a small, but the max suggested height for the smalls is 5' 8.

I don't want the short part to be too long/baggy, but I also don't want to straps to be to short.

Anyone have experience with their sizing?

Thanks a lot.

sounds like umd's size. small shorts fit him better but wear out faster.

I wear Voler mediums and i'm 6'0" 150, with a 32" waist. The leg opening is loose on me because I'm hella skinny, but they fit well on the waist and the big strap length so I'd suggest that since you're shorter and have a smaller waist by a few inches, the smalls would fit you better?

i'm 5'7 122 and go with XS with my Hammer/voler bibs so Small sounds like it would work for you.

I'm an inch taller than you at about the same weight, and I take a medium. Anything smaller is too short for my torso. They are not baggy, and tight enough on the legs to stay put.
