Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I ordered a set of Northwave bib tights back when temps were in the 20's & 30's. Because of how long it takes to get things from PBK, the weather warmed up a bit. 85 degrees here in Tx. Happy first day of winter ya'll...

Rub it in.
We won't see those temps here in NE for another 5 month, maybe.

I'd buy a $100+ pair of tights if it meant the weather got up to 85*F for a few rides.

I know it's very Pcad-esque to reply to one's own reply, but......
I suppose I could have it worse, I could be living in So. Cal.

I would definitely do that right about now as well. Waiting for Tennessee to warm up a little, then I think I might make an 8 hour road trip to do some riding. Chicago is just way to cold right now, and the snow and ice kind of suck too.

Yeah, it was pretty cold here in Phoenix today. 64°F on my ride this afternoon.

I just moved from Wisconsin to Tacoma, WA. Being able to ride to work in december is amazing... Mind you I once commuted a whole winter in Wisconsin too! Only slid once or twice. It was a blast!

Ah, nothing good lasts forever. Today is going to be a more seasonable 67. About 56 right now. Still not bib tight weather.

We could use some of So. Cal's rain right now though. We haven't had a drop in a loooong time.
