GP 4000s < $50?
I've decided to get a set of these in 700x25c but they are kind of pricey. I found them on Amazon for about $50 but was wondering if there is any place in the states (ordering from UK or anywhere overseas seems kind of pointless with shipping) that has good prices on these? What is the best price you've found and where? Thanks.

I have gotten 2 pairs for $70 shipped each when they are on sale in PBK. The first set even came with inner tubes.

Yeah, but if you're ordering from the UK, you probably don't need the tires right now. At those prices it's worth the wait.

Glory Cycles had a one day sale on GP4000s at $42.00. Doesn't do a damn bit of good for anyone now, but if they do it once, they'll do it again. Consitently, PBK offers the best prices. I missed the Glory Cycles sale and ended up ordering a pair from PBK for $10.00 less. Shipping to the west coast usually takes about 2 weeks, but it does vary.

Watch PBK for sales/coupons as above. It's been several months but I got a bunch for like $28 each. I stocked up and got half a dozen.

The trick in buying tires is to be patient and wait for ProBikeKit to sell at the discount with the special coupon. There are discounts and then there are the discounts with the special coupon offers. You wait for both. In the meantime, you try somewhere else but just get one pair. Dollar cost averaging means you get several pairs.
If you have a wheelbuilder, he can get you the tires too at a very reasonable price. My wheelbuilder did just that, The Continental Grand Prix 4000-S.

Last year I had a pair delived from PBK to Southern California for $59 after all discount codes, taxes, currency conversions, shipping, etc. I did it again this year during the sale and it was $65 for the same thing.

I got em here recently https://www.xxcycle.com/grand-prix-4000,,en.php. Shipping from France took less than two weeks. I know some folks have gotten hit with additional customs charges when ordering from French sites but I did not, perhaps because order was under a certain amount?
I have also gotten then for under 50 at texascyclesport.com and bikebling.com but haven't seen them that low on those sites of late.

I'm surprised this didn't get more attention around here. I ordered 3 from them yesterday. $102 shipped to the US. I'm pretty sure it's one of, if not the best, deal I've seen on GP4000s yet.
