Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Roadies and acronyms

HTFU has long since past 'jumping the shark tank' along with 'pulling the trigger' and 'epic' if you didn't get the memo.

Naming your bike is fine though is you're a girl or 8 years old.

Is it bad that I had to go to urban dictionary.com for the first acronym?

When I first got to BF, I posted a question, and someone told me to go to LBS. I hadn't seen that acronym before, and thought it was a typo ... I couldn't figure out why he wanted me to talk to the Mormons about a bike question, though.

What does this have to do with acronyms, though?

Me & the missus (who is indeed a girl) just got two new bikes; hers is red, mine is orange.

She told me she'd named her new red bike "Rosie."

I told her I'd named mine "Orange You Glad I Didn't Give My Bike A Name?"
