Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

TRX Training?

So do any of you use a TRX for strength training? What types of exercises do you feel translate best to cycling and perhaps running?

Thanks!

I have one. I think if you're just trying to gain/maintain cycling fitness then its greatest use will be from the core exercises (body saw/crunches/planks). It's a decent option if nothing else is available (say, an isolated outpost in e. afghanistan...), but I don't think of it as a very good replacement for traditional weights outside of that.

Thanks! I'm finding it is a killer core workout which I think is best and agree that there is a need for some more traditional stuff as well. Just trying to see the best cycling and maybe running related moves.

Thanks again.
