Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bikes: still building one / owned a Stowe TT bike and a Miyata

wanted to share my ride back in the day...

I don't remember the year but this was my Race bike..
I used to be on a team .. DMC - Devil Mountain Cycles .. in Walnut Creek Ca.
Phase 3 Cycles - STOWE TT bike 700c rear 650c front - Prestige II tubing - all Dura Ace.
TIME Ti Mag pedals .. this bike was Awesome.. at the time the frame cost me $1200 and years later i sold the whole bike for $1000

i know it must be a mid life crisis but i wish i had this bike and i was racing again.. oh and the money it takes to go with it.. LOL

What's going on in the top picture? Looks like it has a double top tube. Is it a matching frame pump or just a visual trick?

i would still take this bike back if i ever came across it .. i can remember it was a sprinting machine and a even better time trial bike... i had a bladed spoke front wheel and our team had a disk we shared.. i never won but did place like 7th a few times in some pretty big races.. and as anyone knows thats like all of 1- 10 seconds
