Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'm eyeing carbon clinchers but haven't decided on which ones. It's either that or a good super lightweight set of aluminum clinchers, can't decide. I'm in weight weenie mode, trying to get my BMC into the 13-14 pound range.

that is literally the same thing i'm doing, with a BMC SLT01 i just got.

i'm looking at Soul S2.0 for the aluminum and Soul C5.0 for the carbon. cheap and very light.

What do those SOUL wheels run? Who sells them? the campagnolo are kind of a dream since they are something like $5k for a new set. :-(

Yeah, me too. The NW is nice and rainy at the moment, as i'm sure your aware.

You did notice the thread title is Carbon fever, and not cabin fever, right?

I did call it that since it sounds like cabin fever

There are different price points depending on the wheel you get, as is the case with any wheelset regardless of manufacturer. Company is run by Sean out of Singapore, wheels get great reviews from people on these forums and other various reviews if you search google.

Just got some 50mm carbon wheels from craigslist earlier today for a freaking steal. So pumped to try them tomorrow.
