Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Custom frames aren't needed for most people but you are one who defintely can benefit.

As above, you need custom.

I know what I am talking about here. Playing around with stock frames and messing with stems and seatposts is no substitute for a properly sized frame.

PM me if you need more info on custom options.

Dang, I thought I was bad . . . I'm 6'5 with 34 inseam. I like a 63cm frame.

Not many haters but, as previously established, many seem to prefer carbon.

Well, whatever my deformity, the bike shown, fits. I don't think my legs are very long, and I'm taller than most people when sitting.

That's rough! I'm grateful that I can fit on some stock sized frames, even if they are two sizes smaller than what most people my size ride.

Me too - I am 6'0" and 35.4" inseam, and I look at comfort bikes to get aggro geometry!

Looking at some other posts - glad to see that there are other long-legged/short-torsoed people out there. Although Datlas would probably be our king

They will learn after they go through numerous carbon flimseys and old Ti is still going!

Ti owners are by far the biggest show-offs. Did the op ask for pics? everyone just sees the word Ti and has to post a pic.

Here's an angle I haven't posted before.

Actually Whooossshhh, we agree on everything except motorcycles and politics. And who ever agrees on those topics?

By the way, you'll be excited to hear that Harley Davidson stock has been on quite a tear and just closed at a 52 week high Thursday before the market got slammed Friday.

It is hard to hate any quality bike that fits well. I still like my steel Lemonds, but the Carbon Cervelo rides smother. The pride (bias) of ownership is another factor.

The thing I HATE about my Ti IF is that I don't have two, I need one unpainted/polished.

6' 9" 37.5 inseam.

61cm ST x 68cm [yeah 68] TT w 140mm stem.

surely the only potentially disappointing thing about ti is that it is likely to be heavier than the high end carbons that are camparable. when you ride it, it doesn't matter for recreational riders.

I also have surgical Ti in my cervical and lumbar spine and my right knee. Happily, it does not trigger airport metal detectors.
