FSA K-wing Computer Mount...
Well...I have the FSA K-wing handlebar on order and have found out that FSA sells a computer mount since the shape of the K-wing next to the stem doesn't afford much room. I would like to mount my Cateye Strada wireless computer to this mount and a quick question for those that one please. Would you measure the width of the round perch? My Strada has a pretty broad base when using tie straps.
Please take a quick measurement if you would. Thanks. FSA Center Control Computer Mount: http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/l...puterMount.jpg |
Plenty room for the computer mount. The mount is a little wimpy and on rough roads the computer will vibrate a little. Also make sure you do not over-tight the two attachment screws. The mount will brake -- upside is that you do not need much force to attach the mount.

...or mount it on the stem if it is the right shape.

Zip ties are your friend. I have the same bar and i mounted my Polar on it with no issue at all. I'm not into the strange appendages sticking out of my bike...

Thanks a lot everybody. Appreciate all the different options...

After surveying my options, I justed ordered the bracket that you linked...which I believe you sell :) I read too many reviews of the FSA computer mount causing vibration...due to being made from flexible plastic. I therefore opted for your clean looking standard bracket made from aluminum which apparently is more solid. I will be sure to update this thread with a pic when I get your dashboard genie installed onto the FSA Kwing also on order. Thanks. |
X = 1 7/8" = 47.6mm
