New to rode

Hi i have been a mountain biker for some time and decided to give road a go. I need help choosing a bike that will get the job done for possible future races. My budget is $1500 and am currently looking at cannondale. There is a local person selling his 3 year old serotta for about $1000 58cm. Im 6 foot 2, 147 lbs. what do you think? Thanks.

OK, so how far is this thread hijack from Loveland???

Someone HAS a used Serotta for sale? Does it fit you? Buy it!! (if it's in that $1500 budget of yours)
