What's the link to the "newer" site?
I never doubted him or called him a liar as he claims. Since I was looking at the 2009 website, the info is just not put together well, and is conflicting. Once I got the newer site with newer info, plus his replies to some email requests I sent for info, it make me more comfortable as a potential buyer.
The newer site has much more info which listed the lower weights as you mention and construction method.
I'm glad people are happy with his product, makes a potential customer feel better about their purchase and you seem to be one.
Thanks for the reply and info.

I must say this. I am SOLD on SOUL. Today, i finished a 60 miler climb fest in prep for Death ride and the wheels climbed incredibly well. I even (not on purpose of course) hit a few(several really) potholes that made me cringe, but the wheels remained true, took the impact like an experienced hoe, and just kept on rolling.
The wheels felt incredibly stiff and confidence inspiring while descending down very twisty roads at 34-37mph.
Overall, i'm very happy with my purchase.
The front wheel does shudder when applying the breaks. I have not looked into it yet. Frankly, i'm beaten up, so i will look into it tomorrow. My headset is tight, hopefully it's just a break lose caliper or something.
edited: turns out my headset was loose. Nothing but smooth breaking now
I'm waiting for Sean to publish info about his new rims on the soul website. i'll be getting some of his new carbon rims for my new (soon to be purchased) tri bike.

Officially put my name on the list for some 3.0SL's a couple days ago. Gonna be a bit of a wait but i think it'll be worth it reading all of these positive reviews from Soul owners. Should bring the bike into low 15 pound range.

My name has been on the list since the fourth week of last month for the S3.0SL. Currently having a huge dilemma on how to customize it. Here's my bike:
Here's my current options:
Blue Hubs & Nipples with full white decal
Normal Color with full white decal
Normal Color with the grayed/ghost out letters
White Rims black letters
White Rims grayed/ghost out letter
White Rims, blue hubs & nipples with black letters
White Rims, blue hubs & nipples with grayed/ghost out letter
Currently can't decide on which option to choose. Tell me what you guys think.

Yeah, I'm actually waiting on his reply. I'm just more worried about, should I go for blue hubs & nipples or regular color, but decide to list all the options I have in mind.

I'd get something more neutral, if you know your gonna keep the bike for years then go ahead and get it with blue accents. If you wanted to use the wheels on a new bike lets say a year from now with a black and red color scheme the blue will look out of place.

After contacting Sean, turns out that he doesn't offer different decal designs for the wheels anymore and that there's no white rim for the S3.0SL, .
Anyway, I have decided to go for the regular S3.0SL, the blue hubs & nipples would look weird if I change my frame to something that does not have blue. But I'm also very tempted by the white S2.0. Any opinions?

the C5.0 Prodigy.
I ordered them about 2 months ago. waited in line, paid, then was told that the rims he received from the mold weren't up to his standards, and he wanted to do better for me.
then i was told that they'd be in by the end of March.
then i was told it'd be a little longer. that was 7 days ago and i haven't heard anything yet.
that said, i'm very happy with the S2.0s i have. they look pretty similar to the Nashbar rear wheel i use on the trainer, but the weight difference is STAGGERING.

Here are the new S2.0 on the Specialized. They were noticeably lighter in my hands than the Fulcrum 6 that came with the bike. Haven't had time to do a real ride with them but so far so good.

Took my 4.0s on their first true ride today and I am blown away with not only how great of a ride they are but how different they were from the stock Shimano RS10's I had on there before. Fast on the straights, stiff on climbs, lighter than before AND they were turning heads the entire time.
Thanks Sean!
Thanks Sean!

My 2.0S have been great as well! They aren't the SLs since I got colored spokes but they are still much lighter than what I had and very stiff. They came perfectly true out of the box and the hubs are amazing. They will spin for hours!
Thanks Sean!

They are so light compared to my older wheels it's almost unbelievable.
I hope I'm going to find the time to try them tomorrow.
