Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The more i Look at the wheels the more I don't like the logo. I think it looks much better without the S3.0 after Soul. Soul by itself looks nice though.

Apparently I have trouble getting to the right place on their website every time I go. I always end up looking at the 09 or some old edition of it. I've got a set of Psimet's on order, but am kicking around the idea of getting a set of 3.0 wides if I like the wide rim thing for those long days on the open road at speed.

Yea they're not on his site...one thing Sean isn't good at (IMO) is keeping his site up to date. Same price as the S3.0sl.

Hey guys I'm planning to purchase a set of soul s2.0 from what I've read they use to use kinlin rims but now use N'litened alloy. Does anyone know if this is a major difference or have any experience? thanks!

Since Sean (the owner) wanted to be a wheel manufacturer rather than just another wheel builder he had to do something to differentiate himself from all of the wheel builders using the Kinlin rims.

Man, I just photoshopped the 4.0's onto my allez sport and they look great! I was deciding on black or white, but I think the white does the trick.

Curious, to anyone with 4.0s, do you think the deep profile of the rim offsets the additional weight vs. a 2.0SL wheel? We're talking over 400g's and I'm just not sure if it's worth it to go from 2.0SL to the 4.0. Most will say, it depends on application/riding terrain, but I'm just trying to see if anyone has considered the same question as I have.

Personally I don't think I can feel the deep profile advantage nor the extra weight disadvantage.....but they look cool as hell.

Purchase the ones you won't regret later. Not that youll reget any purchase, but they are different wheels. I would take the lighter 2.0s in a heartbeat even though the deep 4s look cool. I couldn't justify the extra 400 gr due to potentially more aero. I find the aro I can make up in my positional, radial wheel weight you can't make up for.

Those are Pro Race 3 tires. They're extremely tight on 2.0 rims.

Would you have chosen a different tire for that rim or are happy with the combo?

That's actually my Mom's bike. She wore out her Schwalbe tires and I had a bunch of red PR3 tires at the house. The Shwalbe tires were considerable easier to mount.

Has anyone else had issues with their tracking number, i.e. the postal service says that item or tracking number doesn't exist, or does it take a few days for the tracking number to get into the system? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the shipping info guys. I've heard they can sit at customs for a bit too, so six days is very surprising to hear.

Yup! It's normal. Mine stayed at customs for a couple of days and then I got them 2 days later.

Custom S4.0s came in yesterday. Haven't had a chance to ride them yet, but that will get resolved for this weekend.
