Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Blackburn track pump here. I wore out the head after 5 years also. A phone call got me a new head
with no proof of purchase required. I'm amazed at how much air it moves with the amount of effort
required compared to some others I have used.

I'll second the Blackburn endorsement. I've had a TP2 for many (at least 15) years. When the original hose developed a leak, they sent me a replacement free, no questions asked.

Topeak has a 2 year warranty on their pumps.. if you only get a year out of it then you're doing it wrong. I've had my Joe Blow Pro i got at the REI garage sale cheap for like 3-4 years now and i had an issue with the head unit and i took it to the LBS and no questions asked replaced it for free. Just bought a new gauge/valve assembly today and it will be here tomorrow probably since I live like 45 mins from their office. 12 bucks to put another 4+ years of life on a normally 80$ pump is pretty good.

I have a serfas FMP-500, like $65 or something, it works well and seems to be pretty high quality.

Have owned a few in the many years and I have to say the Nashbar L'Orange has been quite nice. Guess I've owned it for about a year now and have been happy.

I also own a Blackburn and loved it. The head has gone bad on mine. Do I just call them? I don't have any receipt anymore.

I see my question answered. I'll give them a call. Surprised (pleasantly) that there's no proof of purchas asked for.

These pumps last forever. I can highly recommend this and it's not that expensive either, relative to others out there.
