Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Rear wheel untrue, again...

I just got my wheel (zipp 101) trued by my LBS after a harsh century ride and it has become untrue again only after a 40 mile ride. Not as bad as before, but def. wobbling a little as certain areas of the rim will come closer to the brake pads.

My question is, am I riding my bike wrong? Is the mech an idiot? Is it the way I remove/install the rear wheel thas wrong? Please help. Thanks.

The most likely reason is that the spoke tension is too low

Yeah sounds like the mechanic just trued the wheel with no regard to the tension of the spokes. In this case either an idiot or lazy.

If they didn't take if off, the mechanic is definitely not capable.

You can do a field retruing with the wheel in the frame, but to do it right you need the wheel on a stand. I use a spoke tensiometer when truing wheels. Having enough tension is important, but so is having even tension.

Yes. Odds are that is. If you ride your bike like I do then yes, you are doing it wrong.
