Giant TCR Zero

I'm looking at an older (~2002) Giant TCR Zero frame/fork combo.

The price is right and I'd like to maybe build this into a commuter bike.

It got lots of praise back when it was new. Anyone here ridden one before? It's full aluminum with a carbon fork. I don't expect it to ride as nice as my Madone, but nice riding aluminum bikes do exist. Is this one of them?

Here's a picture of a complete bike. I'd only be getting the frame + fork.
