Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

No one can answer this question based on your post. What I will say is that in addition to increasing your drop, you have also increased your reach. Whether that's right or wrong, no way to say. Telepathic fitting services generally do not work very well.

Well if it feels good go with it. If you start having neck/shoulder/back issues on long rides then this is an issue that needs to be addressed

As long as you are most comfortable your positioning is correct. Comfort however, does not mean sitting on the seat and having it feel good, it means hurting the least amount or staying comfortable through 30, 40, 50 + mile rides.
