I had my name on the last tour, but never got the chance to ride with the bracelet. I'm going to have to bow-out of this tour now. I have been diagnosed with cancer and, considering the tumor is in my hamstring, the doc tells me I won't be on a bike for AT LEAST 42 weeks. Chemo starts this Thursday. Thank you all for riding with it. I have a whole new perspective on things, and appreciation for those who do things for others out of the kindness of their hearts.
Count me in for the very next tour after I'm cured!

When we start I will PM the first person on the list and get their address. It just goes on down the line at the end they will send it back to me and ill send it in to the livestrong foundation.

Are there requirements for where we have to ride? If I just ride along some roads in St. Paul is that acceptable or should I plan some heroic trek (pun intended?) for it?
Either way, I'd like to be a part of this. (As long as it doesn't make me a Lance fanboy lol.)

what we did in the past is you ride anywhere you want, for as long or short a ride as you want. dedicate the ride to someone you know who has, or has had cancer. write that in the book and mail it along to the next person. Oh, and write your initials on the bracelet. that was a problem in the past as we would run out of room, or the older initials would fade or get smeared. better to use a pen or marker that wont run with sweat or water.

Prolly a smart idea, also as far as running out of room I got a solution. A good friend of mine is going to where a second bracelet for our Ride for the Cure ride on the 16th so I'll ship them both. When the first one fills up start on the second one. If somewhere down the line they both fill up....just add another to the package.
