I have about 30 miles round trip per day with a little over 2k feet of climbing, most of it on the way home. The traffic is so bad here that I'm not saving time by driving, so it works out well.
I almost always use my secondary road bike on the commute.

Recently I started to ride 50mi(80km)round trip. Drive in Monday, with the bike and clothes, park the car at the office, and drive home Friday night (or when it snows). We are lucky to have showers / indoor bike storage and a full kitchen at work.

I'm with thecambrio. Although I carry my lunch and clothes daily in my backpack, the most direct route I can take is 100km roundtrip, but I usually make it about 107.5 by taking a detour in the morning to go by the canal, it's nice there. I'm lucky to have a kitchen and shower as well. I use my only road bike, otherwise it would take me over 2hrs to get to work!
It's still cold right now in Ottawa, so I only do a 40-50k roundtrip right now depending on the weather, in the winter it drops down to ~20k roundtrip.
Happy riding!
