Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Electric Razors

Does anyone use an electric razor in between shaving? I hate having too much stuble on my legs, but at the same time hate having to shave more than twice a week.

For me, electric shavers always miss some (legs & face), but better than nothing

I know lots of guys around here shave, but shouldn't we have a don't-ask-don't tell policy about the details?

We have a "not interested - don't read" policy.

Electric every day! I only use razors about one time every other month.

And I don't care what anybody thinks about it!

Don't they show the old pros using electric in the begining of A Sunday in hell?

I use one of these guys and don't bother with razors. It works in the shower.

I use this as well, but find that it's useless if I've gone more than a week without shaving and have to break out the razor for that. Didn't know I could use it in the shower. Might have to try that.

I just use the electric shaver trimmer flip out thing..I never shave it bare. It gets pretty darn close just using that, well, close enough for me.

Maybe I am uninformed but I suppose the reason for shaving your legs is because it is suppose to make you faster. How much faster will a person be if they shave their legs? Is losing weight or training harder a better way of increasing your speed?

Bikes: Yes

I just shave everything once a week, face, chest, arms, legs, etc and some stuble grows back over the week, but I don't really want to put the effort down to do it more than once a week.

If you're at a pro-level where milliseconds matter, then yes it makes a difference. For a regular rider, you don't need to but I'm pretty sure you'd look pretty stupid wearing lycra shorts and having some furry as* legs.

also, if this happens (as seen in my other thread) do you really want hair mixed in there as well?
