Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Garmin Firmware Update Issue

I updated the firmware on my Garmin 500 and now suddenly it doesn't recognize the Quarq. I've tried rescanning, turning on the Garmin while spinning the cranks backwards, turning on the Garmin while pedaling. I'm now thinking of taking the battery out of the Quarq (that seemed to work with the GSC-10 sensor that I used before getting the Quarq).

Has anyone else had this issue? And more importantly, were you able to fix it.

quarq recommends you use 2.4. if you email them they will tell you that and provide you a link to that version of the software. also, check out the garmin connect user forum for help. later.

Yeah, thanks. I was on the phone with the Garmin help desk and they sent me a link to the 2.5. I tried to install it, but no luck. Hoping to get it fixed before Sunday's race. Last night on the Airport ride, the Garmin tried pairing with every other PM within 10 ft., but not mine.
